"We have talked long enough in this country about equal rights. We have talked for a hundred years or more. It is time to write the next chapter, and to write it in books of law."

- Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908-1973 - 36th President of the US)

Consumer Protection Act compliance

We appreciate that achieving regulatory compliance is also a business opportunity. First, it is an opportunity to ensure that you manage your risk appropriately. This entails a careful evaluation and renegotiation (where necessary) of your contractual arrangements with your service providers, business partners and clients. Second, achieving regulatory compliance may provide you with a competitive edge as well as a new marketing angle. We foresee that it will become increasingly important to clients that you are able to say that your product offering is CPA compliant.

Consequently we use a two phased approach in conducting this exercise. The first phase of the exercise is aimed at gathering the information and evaluating the risks faced by the company. This enables the company to assess the various projects which will be required to achieve regulatory compliance and to prioritise them according to the scope of the change required, the estimated time it would take to implement the changes and the potential disruption it may cause to its operations. In our experience this approach minimises the impact of achieving regulatory compliance on your business operations. This also allows you to control your spend on legal services and reduces the amount of scope creep that is normal in these situations.

As each company differs so too do the solutions. Please contact us to find out more about how we can help you.
